The Right Headline, Can Be A Click Magnet

There are literally millions upon millions of websites on the Internet not to mention the endless of pieces of content that these sites hold.

Baiting Your Headlines

Just pause for a second and try to put it into perspective. Have you ever given it some thought as to just how are you going to make your own content stand out among this giant sea of information?

To be more precise, how are you going to convince people that your content is in fact worth taking their time to read?

I know of one effective, legal way to do so. You bait them with the use of headlines.

The right headline, can be a click magnet, and the great part is that you mostly have total control on how to design your headline.

The only downside is that you have the power to make or break your headline Many SEO experts agree, that Google appears to be taking a web page's bounce rate into account now. If a page has a high bounce rate therefore they are saying that something about a particular page is not right.

I personally do not know to what degree this actually affects ranking , but it is enough to tell me that coming up with awesome content headlines to entice readers to stay and read it is now more important than ever before. So here are some tips towards helping you design a better “baiting” headline:

Always Present Your Headline With Something Good

We were always told from a young age, that if we ever wanted something, we have to work hard for it. For example, if we would like to buy a nice car, then we have to work our behinds off to earn enough money to buy it.

The same goes for those who would like to have that perfect look, they would go under the knife and endure painful surgeries just to achieve that desired look.

That is the reason why headlines, which promise something good, coming out of another thing that is excellent, will catch many people off guard. In most cases (if not all) headlines such as those will assuredly bait their interest since readers will feel compelled to find out more.

A few years back, I read an article where the headline read: “Man lost weight by eating Donuts”. Lose weight by eating something totally not diet-friendly? How is that possible?

After reading that headline, I was totally enticed. I was compelled to know more and just had to click to find out.

Here's another example: “Look Like A Million Dollars… For Less Than $50" is also a great headline to entice people to click and find out more.

I try to design my headlines by coming up with a positive and then coupling them with another positive and usually will have a winning headline on my hands.

Happy Endings

Many people suffering from chronic problems, which are constantly plagued by them to the point that they feel they cannot take it anymore, will, when they are pushed to the edge of desperation, would try (or even buy) anything to get rid of their nagging problems.

You must off course be ready to back up your claim, because misleading headlines can be even more damaging than lousy headlines. So if you claim something in your headlines, then you had better be ready to back it up.

These kinds of headlines make readers really curious. They will keep on wondering to themselves what that one thing that can make such a world of a difference is. It will continuously play in the mind of the readers, and eventually, they just have to know.

One reason why these headlines work as well as they do is because it usually involves just 1 or 2 methods, and yet they can make a huge difference. That suggests that this method or secret is extemely powerful indeed.

Emotional Benefits

Many people only buy what they want and not what they need.

When people say they need something, the chances are, they actually wanted it in the first place and saying that they need it is just another way of justifying their wants.

So, when using your headlines effectively, you can cultivate that “want” or “need”.

What actually drives a person to want something to the point that they think that they need it?

You do this by providing benefits.

Remember however, that you cannot provide just any kind of benefit, it has to be an emotional benefit. If you can therefore find and attach the correct emotional benefit to anything, such as a product, it will sell.
Finally, emotions are very powerful motivators. So learn how to stir up emotions when designing your headlines.
